## What SithCult was

SithCult began in 1997 as a small circle of Star Wars enthusiasts drawn to the philosophy of the Sith, and grew over the following two decades into one of the largest and longest-running Sith-fandom organizations in the world. It was structured like a nation in miniature: an executive leadership, specialized sub-organizations such as the Imperial Youth, and functional departments and task groups operating across dozens of countries and time zones.

What set SithCult apart from ordinary fan communities was its seriousness of practice. Members did not merely discuss the Sith Code — they lived by it, treating "Peace is a lie, there is only passion" as a genuine framework for interpreting ambition, struggle, and self-determination in their own lives. Over time this shared discipline evolved into something closer to a modern, secular interpretation of Sith philosophy: a real philosophy of personal power and self-authorship, expressed through Star Wars mythology but applied to real circumstances.

In 2021, after 24 years, SithCult's executive leadership formally declared the dissolution of the organization in its entirety, citing a steady decline in the broader investment and interest that once sustained an organization of its kind. All affiliated sub-organizations, departments, and task groups — regardless of location — were disbanded, and the command structure that had governed SithCult since 1997 was retired.
